Inside Kate Middleton’s ‘expensive’ birthday plans for Prince George – including the ‘£3k gifts he’ll be spoiled with’
CELEBRATIONS are in order today for Prince George, who is celebrating his 11th birthday.
The future king – who has broken up from school for the summer holidays – is likely to be “spoiled” by his “loving family”, according to a royal author.

Phil Dampier told Fabulous: “I’m sure he will receive some wonderful presents for his 11th birthday.
“I’m sure ponies [which can cost £3,000], rifles, fishing rods and expensive toys are all an option.
“He may even be straying towards an interest in music, and perhaps receive an instrument.
“Certainly King Charles would be delighted if he showed an interest.
“But the most important thing is that he is surrounded by a loving family.”
The royal expert added that Prince George could get a homemade cake from Princess Kate, who previously revealed to Mary Berry that she often stays up “until midnight” making them for her kids.
Phil added: “Kate is a fantastic baker and makes superb cakes. it’s her speciality so I’m sure she will be making a special cake for George.”
And the young royal is likely to have a party, although it could be more “low key” than usual, due to Kate’s cancer treatment recovery.
Phil added: “George has a close circle of friends from school and so I’m sure they will be among the guests if he has a party.
“Obviously it might be a bit low key because of The Princess’s treatment but she will want George to have the best.”
The royal expert added that as well as being close to “Grandpa Wales” – the nickname George, Charlotte and Louis have for King Charles – he also has a tight knit bond with his other grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton.
Phil shared: “He is especially close to Carole.
“She often took him to nursery and school in Norfolk when he was smaller.

“She has given him a comforting presence when his parents are away on tours or working.
“And he still sees a great deal of her, especially now that she no longer runs her Party Pieces business.”
The Wales family reportedly stayed in a lavish £27,000-a-week luxury villa in Mustique 2019 where George marked his sixth birthday.
William and Kate shared a photo of George from the trip as an official image.

The family may opt for a more lowkey celebrations this year given Princess Kate is recovering following her cancer announcement in March – but their plans haven’t been confirmed.
Phil added: “I’m sure the family will soon be going on a summer holiday.
“The Scilly Isles and Mustique in the Caribbean have been favourites in the past.
Kate Middleton's 'golden rule' with George, Charlotte and Louis
KATE'S key rule for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis is about kindness.
According to HELLO! Online’s Royal Correspondent: “Based on observations of photographs of Princess Diana at the time, and the current Princess of Wales, they are both very affectionate with their children.
“Kate is often seen holding her children’s hands or picking them up for cuddles when they were smaller.
“There are often lots of comforting gestures, such as a pat on the back or stroking their hair. When interacting with other children on her public engagements, Kate often crouches down to their level to engage with them – something that Diana would often do.”
When she’s at the family’s home of Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, despite her royal status, insiders say Kate is just like any other “normal mum”.
A friend explained that behind closed doors, the 42-year-old is “very chilled at home” but definitely not a pushover and will tell the kids off when needed.
They told PEOPLE: “It’s a normal, busy family home with kids running around and knocking things over. There’s no airs and graces.
“She is doing that to help her children be more grounded and keep their reality in check. That’s what really matters to her.”
“George will have a smashing birthday party with friends and maybe some of his cousins.
“But the best present he could possibly get is the continued recovery from cancer of his mum, who is clearly a lot better, and that will rub off on George and his brother and sister.”
ROCKER ROYAL
We recently learned Prince George became a fan of rockers Queen — when they performed for his great-gran.
Guitarist Brian May, 76, drummer Roger Taylor, 74, and American singer Adam Lambert, 42, opened with their hit We Will Rock You in front of Buckingham Palace as the late Queen Elizabeth celebrated 70 years on the throne.
Adam, who replaced Freddie Mercury, found out about the royal recruit to the group’s legion of fans when he chatted with the Princess of Wales at last year’s Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.
He said: “It was such an honour. I got to meet Princess Kate, which was fabulous. She was absolutely lovely and down to earth and charming.

“She was talking about her son recalling the performance with the Queen at the Palace for the Platinum Jubilee two years before.
“She was, like, he said, ‘Oh is Adam going to play his guitar?’.
“She said, ‘I think he was confused who was playing guitar and who was who but he remembered who you were.’ I was like, ‘Oh, that is cute’.
Kate was understood to be referring to George who was eight in 2022.

On July 14, William was in attendance with son George at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
The dad and son erupted with joy when Cole Palmer equalised in the 73rd minute.
In their adorable bonding moments, George was also snapped appearing to strategise with his father.
Phil added: “Prince George is growing up fast and we’ve seen that in recent months as he’s been seen with dad William at the Euros football and taking part in royal events.
“He is now at that age when the reality of having his future mapped out for him as a future “King must be dawning on him.
It’s something that King Charles said was horrifying when he first computed his position.
“William and Kate will want to slowly introduce George to the importance of his role, while not scaring him to pieces and making him a nervous wreck.
“It will be uppermost in their minds to still give him as normal a life as possible.”
