'Threat to Democracy!' Trump aims conspiracy-riddled rant at Joe Biden

A convicted felon who stands accused of trying to overturn a presidential election by inciting an angry mob to storm the U.S. Capitol took to social media late Sunday night to accuse President Joe Biden of representing a "threat to democracy."

Former President Donald Trump shared on Truth Social about 10:25 p.m. his latest "conspiracy" theory against his political opponent who announced Sunday he would withdraw from the 2024 presidential election.

"Biden never had Covid," Trump wrote. "He is a threat to Democracy!"

Biden is currently recovering from Covid in his Delaware vacation home and reportedly delivered his withdrawal announcement in writing because he is still feeling sick and his voice remains raspy.

Biden’s condition was confirmed Saturday by White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, an associate professor at George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

Questions about Trump's health — spurred by a bloody assassination attempt that saw a bullet whizz past his skull — were also answered over the weekend by Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), his former White House physician who faced allegations that he handed out drugs and was drunk on the job.

Biden's decision — which came at the behest of fellow Democrats, political pundits and Hollywood actors — appears to have only fueled the flames of Trump's rage.

"The Democrats pick a candidate, Crooked Joe Biden, he loses the Debate badly, then panics, and makes mistake after mistake, is told he can’t win, and decide they will pick another candidate, probably Harris," Trump wrote in a later post. "They stole the race from Biden after he won it in the primaries — A First! These people are the real THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!"

Trump also suggested Biden was unfit to serve as President.

"Who is running our Country right now?" Trump wrote. "It’s not Crooked Joe, he has no idea where he is. If he can’t run for office, he can’t run our Country!!!"

This is not how Biden was described by fellow Democrats.

"He united Democrats to save our democracy from Trump and our economy from COVID," wrote Rep. Greg Cesar (D-TX). "He stood up to corporations and protected workers like no other president in my lifetime. There's much more to say, but for now: Thank you, Joe Biden."

"Joe Biden defeated Trump," added Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine. "He brought us back from COVID. He built a strong economy. He’s passing the baton to the next generation. Joe Biden is an American hero."
