Liverpool preparing a €65m move for long-term Mohamed Salah replacement

0

Mohamed Salah is not leaving Liverpool this summer but the Reds are still planning for life without him.

The Egyptian has been linked with a move away from the club over the last year and with him entering the final year of his contract at Anfield, his future remains uncertain at the club.

The right-winger has helped the Reds win the Premier League and the Champions League under the leadership of former manager Jurgen Klopp.

With his long term future uncertain at Liverpool, the Reds are making a plan to sign his replacement.

Takefusa Kubo, a right winger for Real Sociedad, may be on Liverpool’s radar, according to the Japanese publication Sports Nippon.

Since January, Kubo has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Although there was talk that he would be Jurgen Klopp’s final signing for the Reds, the Japanese international kept up his impressive form with the La Liga team.

Kubo has shown tremendous potential since moving from Real Madrid to Real Sociedad in 2022.

Takefusa Kubo to Liverpool?

He’s already established himself as one of La Liga’s top players at the age of 23.

The Japanese international is being pursued by Liverpool, who are planning to pay a transfer fee of about €65 million for him.

Additionally, they are prepared to pay the 23-year-old £240,000 a week in wages.

It clearly shows that the Reds are preparing for life without Salah who could be leaving the club next summer.

Liverpool will find it difficult to replace Mo Salah

Kubo is a player similar to Salah, a left -footed right-winger who likes to come inside and create opportunities and score goals.

Although Kubo has performed well in La Liga, he would need to improve his goal-scoring abilities in order to replace Salah.

The Sociedad winger’s seven goals from the previous campaign pale in comparison to Salah’s twenty-four goals for the Reds.
