'Unfathomably insane': Political pundits stunned by Biden's decision to step aside
Republicans and pundits Sunday reacted to President Joe Biden's decision to step aside as a Democratic candidate with shock and by calling for his resignation as president.
After Biden announced on X that he would "stand down" from his campaign, Republicans immediately said that he should also end his presidency.
"Breaking: Biden is Out! If Biden isn’t fit to run, he isn’t fit to be President," Donald Trump Jr. wrote. "Hundreds of millions of Americans & the world depends on POTUS being of sound mind & body! It’s no longer a joke & Democrats can’t keep pretending that he’s in charge. Enough of this nonsense!"
