Ashlyn Harris Talks Ali Krieger Divorce & Keeping Their Children Separate From Any Drama

Ashlyn Harris reflected on navigating her divorce from Ali Krieger as a mom.

If you were unaware, the 38-year-old former soccer star filed to divorce Ali in October 2023. She has since started dating Sophia Bush.

The exes are parents to daughter Sloane, 3, and son Ocean, 2. While participating in a Women’s Health panel, Ashlyn reflected on the “really hard” divorce and how she has been keeping the drama separate from their children.

“I’m navigating a divorce that’s been really hard,” Ashlyn said. “I’m just riding the waves and realizing I can only control what’s in my controllables. I can’t control everyone else’s reaction. I can’t control everyone else’s opinions of me. I have to own myself and my body and be present and be human.”

Speaking about her kids, she said, “My storm doesn’t have to be theirs.”

“It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through—dealing with a divorce with two very young children and not letting them see or feel my storm and rain. It’s a really big test,” she said.

Earlier this year Ali reflected on her life after the very public breakup.
