LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Every month, KLFY partners with Bob Giles and Giles Automotive to spotlight local residents who pay it forward. This time, we meet a local woman who pays it forward to a former co-worker who she hasn't seen in 20 years.

We met Analiecha Gabriel and told her about Pay It Forward. She knew about it and wanted to help someone financially.

"In this envelope, I have $1,000 if you can think of someone to give it to," Giles said.

Gabriel responded immediately.

"I've got a friend," she said. "Her name is Monica and just by reading her Facebook posts, I know she is going through a lot of stuff. I used to work with her about 20 years ago and I haven't seen her in a while, so I'd say Monica Ozenne."

She called Monica to see if she was home so we could surprise her.

"I'm at the Target on Ambassador," said Analiecha. "I could come meet you right now."

We surprised Ozenne.

"I have some money in this envelope and I'm going to give this to Analiecha so that she can pay it forward to you," Giles said. "Open it up and count it out."

"$1,000" Ozenne said. "Oh my goodness. Thank you. God is so good. Mr. Giles, I appreciate this."
