'The SpongeBob Musical' coming to Topeka, here's when

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A musical show featuring characters from the "SpongeBob" TV show is on the way to the Capital City.

Locals can buy tickets to "The SpongeBob Musical Youth Edition" at Topeka's Helen Hocker Theater for multiple shows from July to August. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the curtain rising at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night performances. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the performance begins at 2 p.m. for Sunday matinee shows.

"The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected hero rises up and takes center stage. The power of optimism really can save the world!"
