Meat shops will have to indicate 'Jhatka or Halal' says Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation Mayor Somya Gurjar

Following an Executive Committee meeting, Jaipur Mayor Somya Gurjar mandated that meat shops require a commercial license specifying Jhatka or Halal. Public representatives in 150 wards will identify legal shops for Shravan. This respects sentiments and constitutionality. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath also mandated displaying owner identities, banning halal-certified products on Kanwar routes.
