Top UN court says Israel's presence in occupied Palestinian territories is illegal and must end

The ICJ criticized Israel’s settlement policies and illegal occupation under the Geneva Convention. Israel captured the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza Strip in the 1967 Mideast war. The Palestinians seek all three areas for an independent state.
