McVitie’s launches new ‘indulgent’ biscuit flavours as exact date treats will be on shelves is revealed
ICONIC biscuit brand McVitie’s has launched a new “indulgent” flavour that will make your tastebuds excited.
The new bikkies are described as a “moreish, multi-sensorial experience” that is a bite of bliss.
The new ‘Signature’ range has three new treats for those with a sweet tooth to enjoy.
The three new biscuits include Caramel Chocolate Rounds, Chocolate Cream Swirls, and Chocolate Caramel.
The Caramel Chocolate Rounds have a rich, gooey caramel centre which is encased between a crunchy, golden biscuit.
There’s also a thick layer of milk chocolate in a harmonious blend of textures and flavours, making every mouthful a superior snacking delight.
The Chocolate Cream Swirls deliver a rich creaminess balanced with a delicious crunch as it has a chocolate flavoured cream centre.
The Chocolate Caramel Biscuits are a baked biscuit topped with caramel, fully coated in thick milk chocolate and finished with a delicate biscuit crumb for added crunch.
The biscuit will be at Waitrose on July 22 and follow at other supermarkets.
James King, Marketing Director at McVitie’s, said: “We’re really excited with what we have created with the McVitie’s Signature range.
“A lot of time and effort went into the development to ensure we got them just right and that we made something that offers our customers a moment of pure indulgence.
“From the beautiful design of each biscuit to the quality ingredients, and thick layers of chocolate or caramel, every detail has been carefully considered to ensure these biscuits are our most moreish yet!
“We’ve had some really great feedback from taste testers so far who love the taste of the biscuits, as well as the look, with most agreeing this is a premium biscuit unlike any other.”
It comes after the biscuit brand released a chocolate spin-off of their ever-popular digestive.
A post said: “These are delicious, classic cocoa digestive biscuit, topped with McVitie’s chocolate with chocolate chips dotted through the biscuit.
“They taste like a hot chocolate in a biscuit!”
The biscuit contains chocolate chips with an extra layer of chocolate coating.
Mcvitie’s fans have also been out in force calling for an iconic axed chocolate bar to make a comeback.
Snack makers often discontinue products to make way for newbies and to match customer demand.
McVitie’s said the Club Fruit flavour, combining currants, biscuit and milk chocolate, had been axed “a few years ago” in a 2023 X post.
But some shoppers are still desperate for the fruit flavour to return to retailers and supermarkets across the UK.
