Which movie legend should receive the 2025 SAG life achievement award? [POLL]

Which movie legend should be the next person to receive the 2025 SAG life achievement award? When we offered a similar poll last year, Double Oscar winner Barbra Streisand was the top choice, and then she was indeed selected for this honor on the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The SAG-AFTRA selection committee will likely be announcing their next recipient in the near future. We will offer a separate poll coming up soon about possible TV stars who might receive this award. The 2025 ceremony will be live February 23 streaming on Netflix.

The following living people have already received this award and wouldn’t be chosen again (year referenced is from the ceremony): Joanne Woodward (1986), Robert Redford (1996), Clint Eastwood (2003), Julie Andrews (2007), James Earl Jones (2009), Dick Van Dyke (2013), Rita Moreno (2014), Carol Burnett (2016), Lily Tomlin (2017), Morgan Freeman (2018), Alan Alda (2019), Robert De Niro (2020), Helen Mirren (2022), Sally Field (2023) and Streisand (2024).

 

All of these choices below are over 65 years old, which seems to be a requirement for the selection committee in prior years. We do not include the very deserving Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson and Gena Rowlands since they are retired and haven’t been making any public appearances.
