Allegiant Air is getting a new CEO, with longtime leader Maury Gallagher stepping down in September. Allegiant's parent company said Thursday that president Greg Anderson will be the new CEO and get a seat on the board of directors. Anderson has a background in accounting. He joined Allegiant in 2010 and rose to become chief financial officer and then president. Gallagher, 74, has led Allegiant for most of the last two decades, building it into one of the nation’s largest so-called ultra-low—cost carriers.
