The show opened as Jon sought help from Susannah for his smoking addiction[/caption]

Reprising her role as Susannah, Anne-Marie Duff‘s character was left stunned as a man barged into her home.

He sought help for an addiction to smoking and told her his desire to give them up.

However, during hypnosis he revealed a more sinister side, telling Susannah he had taken people’s lives.

Dominic Cooper plays the shady character, which left Susannah aghast as he announced his intentions to murder another woman on the same evening.

In tense scenes Susannah tried to ring the police, but Jon interrupted her, not realising what he had divulged during his hypnosis.

Jon made her end the call before hastily making his getaway as police sirens could be heard.

But for viewers at home, they pointed out a number of blunders on social media.

One said: “Surely there are fingerprints in her house and dashcam footage from the police who were towards the van.”

A second wrote: “This is a load of s**t. A copper’s ex would’ve got the reg of his van, collected fingerprints and saved the DNA from his dog end. A house that nice would be CCTV’D also. For that reason, I’m out.”

“I didn’t see series one and so I’m finding this all a bit silly and totally unrealistic. I’m, totally lost, so I’m out,” said a third.

While a fourth commented: “Strange that he confessed to murder when she said he wouldn’t tell her anything he didn’t want to under the hypnosis.”

Suspect is available to stream now on Channel 4.
