Indigenous tribes of the Mashco-Piro are nomadic hunter-gatherers in nature and they live in the remote areas of dense Amazon rainforest. They hit the headlines recently when they were spotted on the bank of the Las Piedras River in Peru. Human rights group Survival International has been working to protect their rights and identity.
