How to stop cats from entering and fouling in your garden for good – and it’s all thanks to a bargain find from ASDA
IT’S never-ending battle to keep cats out of your garden – but there is an ASDA bargain that will stop these pets away for good.
Although these feline visitors can be cute, these furry friends can also have a negative impact on your garden, especially when it comes to destroying your plants and veggie patches.
Luckily, this bargain from ASDA will keep the furry animals at bay[/caption]Not only do they poo and pee all over the place, but cats also often attack birds, scratch and damage ornaments, furniture and fences.
But although there are high pitched ‘cat scarers’ some swear by, these hacks don’t always work and you’ll find the animals fouling in your garden again.
Fortunately, the popular supermarket ASDA has come to rescue with a purse-friendly find that will tackle the issue with no faff – a cat repellent which its manufacturer says is a natural, non-toxic kitty blocker.
Priced at an affordable £3.67, The Doff STOP Cat and Dog Scatter granules promise to keep cats and dogs at bay, so you can enjoy summer with no unwelcome visitors.
The brand claims that the cheap product also ”helps reduce cat scratching and dog and cat soiling of the areas”.
For best results, simply scatter the miracle granules to mask odours in the area.
What’s more, the repellent is also ”a good toilet training aid for your pet”.
“It is known that cats and dogs return to previously fouled areas be it them fouling the areas or other dogs and cats, with this product they can be trained not to foul in the area treated.
“Doff Stop scatter granules release a strong highly perfumed odour that lasts over several days, the goal is to mask odours left by previous fouling so the animals do not recognise the area.
“Cats and dogs also find this smell repulsive. This safe and handy scatter bottle has natural scatter granules containing natural plant extracts, they quickly mask the odours but also release slowly a scent that cats and dogs do not like.”
The RSPCA noted that there also different methods to address the problem, such as planting shrubs closely together, with prickly plants or small pebbles that make it difficult for cats to enter the property.
Gardeners can also try keeping flowerbeds watered, as cats don’t like wet soil, and install high, close-boarded fences.

What is the best cat repellent for the garden?
If the above methods aren’t cutting it, there are also a number of outdoor repellents to make sure the garden is feline-free.
Repellex Systemic Animal Repellent
Systemic Animal Repellent Tablets contain capsaicin, a natural component found in chilli peppers – which is also a chemical irritant for mammals, such as cats.
Just bury the tablets next to growing plants – they will absorb the chemicals through their roots and will help keep pesky pussies at bay.
Wikomo Ultrasonic Solar-Powered Animal Repeller
When an adventurous kitten tries to break into your garden a motion sensor will emit ultrasonic sounds and flashing lights that will instantly send the invader sprinting away.
Not only is the device chemical-free, it’s also powered by solar energy – a win-win for the environment.
