Gary Trent Signs With Milwaukee
And while he’s taking a big paycut, he could get a ring with the Bucks
Former Blue Devil Gary Trent had a solid run with Toronto but he’s a free agent and surprisingly, he didn't really draw as much interest as one might have expected.
For Trent, it came down to L.A. (Lakers not the Clippers) or Milwaukee and he chose Milwaukee. He signed a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum.
Interestingly, he’ll reunite with former Portland teammate Damian Lillard. He’ll also be playing with the Greek Freak, aka Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Last year, Trent made $18.6 million so this is a bit of a comedown financially (more than a bit, really). But Milwaukee has done a nice job ogetting solid talent cheap and may be in position to make a deep run next season. As Brotherhood member Jayson Tatum just learned with the Boston Celtics, you can’t really put a price on a championship.
