'We have a love': Markwayne Mullin befriends Teamster he threatened to fight in Senate
Months after Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) threatened to fight Teamsters Union chief Sean O'Brien during a November Senate hearing, the two men have become more than good buddies.
Mullin told CNN Wednesday that a friendship blossomed after former President Donald Trump called months ago and asked the two men to "meet."
The meeting apparently a "little Italian restaurant" where they bonded over shared interests.

"We have a love for, a passion, for working out together," Mullin said. "We both came up by our bootstraps, pulled them up working hard and blue-collar jobs. And so we actually get along, and he texts me, and I text him right afterward."
Mullin said that the two men now giggle about the fight in the Senate and that he found O'Brien's demand that he "stand your butt up" hilarious.
"I will say, if I would have had a drink in my mouth, I would've spit it out," Mullin said. "But we do have a relationship now, we've worked past it and that happens sometimes. I tell people all the time, I don't take things personal like that. I used to get paid to fight. I'm not; I'm not looking to fight for free."
Mullin said O'Brien was the first to apologize for the fight, "but that was before my buddy even sits down at the table. And I sit, and told him, I said, Sean, that means a lot to me, and that's how the conversation started."
He explained that their friendship has only grown from there.
