An eagle-eyed shopper found B&M selling 334g packs of Nestle Quality Street Strawberry Delight for just 10p.

While the iconic Favourites of the Purple One was seen selling for just £1.

The delighted customer then posted the news on HotUKDeals and wrote: “Found these in B&M Newbury for £1 and £0.10. I’m not sure if it’s national or just store-specific.”

Fellow users flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One such person asked: “Is the shelf clear?”

While another person replied: “They might have more stock, so keep checking.”

Meanwhile, B&M is stocking up tubs and tin cans of the Christmas favourite treat at competitive prices.

Such large packs are difficult to find at this time of year, usually making an appearance in time for Christmas.

The supermarket chain is selling the 813g box Nestle Quality Street for just £5.

Tesco is also offering a 600g tub of Quality Street for £5.40 with a Clubcard, down from its usual price of £6.

All of the chocolate tubs are also available to buy on the Tesco website for the same price, although remember that you may have delivery costs on top too.

Sainsbury’s is offering 290g boxes of Roses and Heroes for £4 with a Nectar card and both chocolates are available in smaller sizes at the same price at Asda

It’s always worth checking around to find the best price so you know you’re getting a good deal.

Prices may vary day to day as well depending on what deals are on, and remember to look at delivery costs too if you’re ordering online.

Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare prices on thousands of products to see which retailer is selling them cheapest.

The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and helps you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.

It comes after shoppers went wild after spotting Cadbury’s Honeycomb Sundae Twirls in B&M, previously only available in Australia.

Likewise, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Slices Vanilla Passionfruit was a huge hit when it was spotted on shop shelves.

Shoppers were also seen flocking to stores to get an ultra-rare Cadbury bar after it made its way back to the UK supermarkets.

How to save money on chocolates

CONSUMER reporter Sam Walker explains how to save money on your next chocolate haul...

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavours and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.

Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.
