ANOTHER young Brit has gone missing on a Spanish island just days after the body of Jay Slater was discovered in Tenerife, sparking a desperate search.

Ben Ross, 26, hasn’t been sighted since July 10 after vanishing in Palma, the capital of holiday hotspot Majorca.

The Golborne man moved to the sun-soaked island in June to take a break from law studies.

But what was meant to be a stint living in paradise has turned to plight, with Ben not seen since July 10.

His mother Felix is now planning to fly to Majorca in a desperate bid to find her beloved son.

It comes only days after the body of Jay Slater was tragically found in Tenerife nearly a month from when he went missing.

Ben is feared to have no money and no way of contacting family members for help after his bag was stolen at the beach on July 6.

The thief dashed off with Ben’s wallet, iPad, passport and keys while he went for a dip.

Felix received a “peculiar” email from Ben on July 10 and hasn’t heard from him since.

Ben is thought to have had a row with his flatmates after being accidentally locked out of their apartment.

He also referred to his mental ill-health in the email to his mum after struggling to get access to money to find new accommodation.

After his bag was stolen on July 6, family say Ben spent hours at the police station reporting the incident before getting lost on his way home due to no longer having the aid of his phone for directions.

He eventually made his way home but struggled to get the attention of flatmates to let him in because it was so late at night.

Ben decided to break into the flat so he could get to bed – but it’s said to have infuriated flatmates, who are accused of then calling the cops on July 10.

Police decided against intervening with Ben offering to pay the repair costs of the damage he inflicted when forcing his way into the flat.

But the Greater Manchester man then vanished and hasn’t been heard from since that day, when he emailed Felix conceding his mental health had suffered a setback.

His mum and sister are now set to fly down to Majorca to kick-start their own search.

Felix said: “Like any mother, no matter what age your children are, they are still your children.

“I just need to know my son is safe and well. The last few days have been torture.

“Please, if anyone has seen Ben, even if it’s just for a second, let the authorities know. We need to find him.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Felix’s friend Carla Speight to help raise money for travel and accommodation costs.
