Latest reports suggest that Spurs are looking to sell a whole host of players this summer, with two names in particular that seem destined to exit being Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, but the club are yet to receive an offer for the latter.

Unlike for Hojbjerg – Spurs have had an offer for Emerson

Fabrizio Romano indicated back in late May that the exit door at Tottenham would be wide open this summer, revealing that Emerson was among a number of players who have chances of leaving Spurs this summer.

As revealed by Alasdair Gold, AC Milan eventually sent a bid for Emerson Royal although it was only an offer of £8.4 million, which is just half of Tottenham’s asking price for the Brazilian.

The Athletic have released a new report however claiming that it’s not just Emerson who could be leaving soon. Danish international, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is expected to be leaving Hotspur Way ahead of next season although Tottenham aren’t believed to have received an offer for the player yet.

Hojbjerg is one of many potential exits at Spurs

The ex-Southampton midfielder is now 28 and seemingly falling out of favour at Spurs, but the player doesn’t seem to be attracting any offers yet, despite Galatasaray’s vice-president announcing that the Dane is a target for the Turkish champions this summer. (Evening Standard)

The Athletic’s report detailed that Tottenham do still expect Emerson to depart but felt Milan’s opening offer was unacceptable, as the saga for the Brazilian continues to rumble on.

Another two names stated by The Athletic were Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilon who spent last season on loans away from the club.

It’s believed that the defensive duo are both also players that are likely to be sold this summer with Reguilon impressing in the latter stages of the season on loan with Thomas Frank’s Brentford, although The Bees can’t afford Reguilon’s wages, seemingly ruling them out of securing a permanent deal.

These latest reports at least provide hope that Tottenham will secure exits for many of these players in the near future and subsequently provide Postecoglou and the club with a freer wage bill as well as some transfer funds to play with.

Hojbjerg is a player I expect to leave for a decent fee due to his extensive experience in the Premier League as well as Bayern Munich.

The Dane served a purpose for Spurs when he first joined but last season conveyed that his slow pace of play and lack of progressivity means he doesn’t fit Postecoglou’s system and is right to be moved on.
