Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton pregnant and terrified as Joel Deering confronts her in hospital in gripping scenes
CORONATION Street viewers will witness the gripping Lauren Bolton storyline intensify even further in upcoming scenes.
Wednesday night’s episode will see the race to find Lauren (played by Cait Fitton) heat up.
Scenes yet to air in the ITV soap see Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling Brown) and Bethany (Lucy Fallon) track her down to a squat.
After discovering a terrified Lauren is pregnant, Dee-Dee insists on taking her to the hospital to be checked out, believing she’ll be safe there.
However, evil predator Joel (Calum Lill) is soon also in the know, thanks to his unsuspecting fiancee Dee-Dee.
Resident copper DS Swain (Vicky Myers) is on the case as she looks for answers about the man behind the attack which left Lauren for dead.
When faced with pressure from both sides, who will Lauren put her trust in?
Viewers found out about Joel’s true nature in May, with the villainous solicitor determined to keep his crimes hidden.
As he looks to ensure Lauren stays quiet, will she instead reveal all to DS Swain and help take Joel down?
Lauren’s disappearance in February sparked a long-running mystery storyline, with seemingly no one certain of what had happened.
Fans were heartbroken and outraged when beloved cafe owner Roy Cropper (David Neilson) became the prime suspect.
Roy – who was formerly Lauren’s boss – was subsequently arrested, charged and sent to prison for her alleged murder, although loved ones maintained his innocence.
After convicted groomer Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) returned to the cobbles after almost seven years, viewers’ suspicions soon turned to him.
Bent cop Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) set Nathan up by planting evidence in his car – with the notorious baddie arrested for allegedly murdering Lauren.
It came as Nathan’s victim Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), who had also recently returned, quickly became convinced that he was responsible for Lauren’s disappearance.
After months of questions surrounding her whereabouts, Lauren eventually resurfaced.
