Eurostar launches £35 tickets in flash sale – but they often sell out quick
EUROSTAR has launched its cheapest fares in months with one-way tickets starting from just £35.
But holidaymakers looking to snap up a bargain deal will have to be quick as the flash sale tickets often sell out fast.
Eurostar has launched cheap train tickets in a flash sale[/caption]The sale has cut fares to £35 – meaning you can get a £70 return ticket to Paris, Lille or Brussels from London St Pancras.
This is the cheapest price it’s been since March.
Tickets can be booked via Eurostar’s website for journeys between August 13 to October 23, 2024.
Although the cheapest fare is £35 for one way, you’ll have to book a return journey to access the price.
But customers will need to hurry as the flash sale is set to end on July 18.
And cheaper tickets like these often sell out in just a few hours.
It comes after Eurostar said it will introduce new flexible tickets this year, making travel much more convenient for travellers.
The new policy will allow passengers to exchange their tickets as many times as they need for no extra fee.
From November, the international rail company is promising all customers “a premium proposition in terms of refunds and exchanges” in all classes for European travel.
This new aftersales policy is designed to “further enhance the customer experience” and means changes can easily be made to existing bookings for anyone whose circumstances change.
The policy is part of several changes being brought in, alongside new travel classes.
Standard, Standard Premier and Business Premier classes on cross-channel routes and Standard, Comfort and Premium classes on Continental routes will be replaced by three new classes.

How to get cheap train tickets
THERE are several ways to bring down the cost of train tickets.
Regular commuters can save a lot by purchasing a season ticket instead of buying a new ticket each day they travel.
A seven-day season ticket will likely be cheaper than individual fares if you do the same journey three or more days a week.
Check the season ticket calculator on the National Rail website to see if it’s worth it for you.
Regular commuters could also save by using a railcard.
Those with a 16-25, 26-30, senior (for over 60s) and “two together” (you and a friend or family member) railcards get a third off their train fare.
Travellers should book directly through train company websites to cut rail costs even more.
Sites like Trainline are popular among commuters but charge fees of up to £1.75 per journey.
If you know when you’re travelling in the future, it’s also cheaper to book an advance ticket.
Operators usually make their advance rail fares available up to 12 weeks in advance, when Network Rail releases its timetable.
