Give716 helping raise donations for more than 570 local organizations.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- In honor of July 16, or 716 Day, the Buffalo Bills Foundation and the Buffalo Sabres Foundation are teaming up with others, to help inspire the community to give.

"There's such a giving spirit here, there are so many wonderful organizations that serve our community every day, and Bills fans, Sabres fans, they're known for wanting to give back and give to others, and this is another example of it," said Rich Jureller, president of the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

Give716 started four years ago to help local not-for-profits during the pandemic, and now it's turned into a tradition. Kicking off the fundraising at 7:16 p.m. on July 15, the community has until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to help donate to more than 570 organizations, and there are many incentives to help inspire people to donate.
