Liverpool favourites to secure Goncalo Inacio transfer

Arne Slot’s Liverpool are reportedly leading the race for Manchester United defensive target Goncalo Inacio. According to Caught Offside, the Reds are making significant progress in negotiations to bring the Sporting CP ace to Anfield. Liverpool’s need for a world-class centre-back has made the 22-year-old Portuguese international a top priority, especially amidst uncertainties surrounding Virgil van Dijk’s future.

Inacio, who has established himself at Sporting CP and the Portugal national team, has drawn interest from top clubs, including Manchester United. Since his promotion to Sporting’s first team in 2020, he has featured in over 170 matches, showcasing his defensive prowess.
