Gamers think they’ve found the first-ever image of a new entry in a fan-favourite franchise

OFFICIALLY announced in 2017, gamers have never seen anything from the upcoming BioShock game.

However, an inconspicuous image has appeared online that the uploader claims is from a demo of the game created around 2021.

A new entry in the BioShock series, which fans refer to as BioShock 4, has reportedly been in the works since 2015.

However, the game has been moved through a number of different studios, and even after it was officially announced publisher 2K admitted that it was still years from release.

No images or footage of the game have ever been officially shown, so this recent upload is the first.

Parkside Demo is written at the bottom of the image, and there is some code shown in the corners.

In the centre of the screen, there is a spire that looks like the top of a building, and we can see the player pointing a gun called the ‘Ricochet Shotgun’ at it.

While it doesn’t give many clues about features from the unreleased game, it appears that there could be a new special power.

The BioShock series has special powers, called Plasmids in the first two games and Vigors in Infinite, that allow you to do certain actions.

These are things like shooting lightning out of your hands, or the ability to set things on fire.

At the bottom left of the screen, we can see four of these powers denoted by a lightning symbol, magnet symbol, and timer symbol.

We’ve seen abilities based on electricity and magnetism in the past, but the timer suggests the ability to pause or slow down time, a first for the series.

The image hasn’t been confirmed as real, and with 2K remaining quiet on anything BioShock, it might be a long time before we know what the next BioShock game will be.
