FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Monday evening!
The heat & humidity has stuck around for the start of the work week. Temperatures are in the lower 90s with "feels like" values jumping close to triple digits in a few areas. We have better chances for wet weather in the days to come that will eventually bring in a relief from the heat.
A line of storms & showers is sitting off to our west. As we head into the overnight hours, we're looking at an isolated chance for rain to move in and last into Tuesday morning. Tuesday's rain chances build up once again in the afternoon with the possibility of storms & showers returning.
We could see some stronger weather develop during the day on Tuesday. All of Central Ohio is at a 1/5 level risk. Areas to the southeast, around Athens County, are elevated to a 2/5 risk. Primary threats with possible storms will be strong to damaging wind gusts and the possibility of hail.
Later Tuesday into Wednesday, a cold front will sweep across Central Ohio. We're still looking at the chance for storms & showers through Wednesday, but temperatures will see an almost immediate impact. We're in the lower 80s on Wednesday, hovering around 80 on Thursday before we start to warm back into the weekend.
Sunshine and drier air will remain steady for the second half of the week and into the weekend. That means lower humidity and a lot more comfortable air. By Saturday & Sunday, we're in the mid 80s with a mix of sunshine and clouds.
