Man robbed and assaulted in the Bronx, NYPD seeks suspect
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man was attacked and robbed on Sunday evening in the Bronx, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. in the vicinity of East 167 Street and Teller Avenue.
Police say an unidentified man approached the 58-year-old victim from behind and struck him in the side of the head, knocking him down.
The suspect then took the victim's cellphone and wallet and fled the scene, according to the NYPD.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police released the following surveillance image of the suspect.
