My Cape Cod bedroom gets so hot in summer but a $60 Amazon buy is cool and saved us from getting an expensive AC
A SAVVY shopper has revealed the budget-friendly way she keeps her bedroom cool without breaking the bank.
She said her Cape Cod space gets incredibly hot in the summer months, but thanks to an Amazon buy, it saved her money from purchasing an expensive brand.
Kailey (@the_geriatricmillennial) shares helpful tricks for everyday life on social media.
In a TikTok video, she shared her “favorite summer tip to keeping cool if your AC doesn’t push to your bedroom.”
“OK, so my house is in Cape Cod, and my bedroom is on the third floor of the house, and we get really poor ventilation, air, and heat up here,” she explained.
She previously had to put an air conditioning unit in the window to cool down, but thought it was “annoying” and looked “stupid” and “clunky.”
The second option was to put a wall unit that cost about $3,000 to $4,000 to install in their home.
BEST BUY
Kailey stumbled across a seasonal buy on Amazon before she decided to drop the cash.
The AC Infinity Airtap T4, Quiet Register Booster Fan with Thermostat 10-Speed Control, $59.99, is “a quiet fan system designed for improving wall and floor register airflow from HVAC systems.”
“Have two of these – life-changing!” another TikToker commented.
Kailey admitted that she and her husband used to sleep in the basement because the bedroom was so hot, but that is no longer the case
“Guys, this thing is so cool and it works,” she said.
She recommended this hack especially “for rooms that get poor circulation from your AC” or are just really hot.
All you have to do is swap it out of your old wall crate and then plug it in to transform the space.
The fan inside of it pulls the warm air in from below and pushes out cold air above.
The Programmable LCD controller comes with a thermostat, heating setting, and automated fan speeds.
The device comes in different sizes, so it can work for a variety of households.
BUY BENEFITS
Several TikTok users appreciated the find and others already had it themselves.
“This is genius. I thought I’d have to redo my entire HVAC to cool my kitchen,” a viewer commented.
“We have one in the upstairs bedroom, which is over the garage and it is now the coolest room in the house. Well worth the money!” one said.
“Thanks for sharing this. My home office is on the top floor of my house, and it’s so hot. I’m going to give this a try,” another wrote.
With temperatures rising and summer in full swing, now is the time to reap the benefits of this fiscally responsible cooling solution.
