ZOE Ball has reunited with her ex-husband, Norman Cook, AKA, DJ Fatboy Slim, as they cheered on son Woody Cook at a seaside gig in Brighton.

Standing toward the back, Zoe, 53 looked every inch the proud mum, as she filmed her son’s energetic performance, alongside ex-husband, Norman Cook, 60.

DJ Woody proudly shared the footage of his parents on social media with the caption: “Caught both parents dancing.”

Following in his father’s footsteps, Woody, 23, is one of the rising stars of the music world, having recently made his debut at Glastonbury festival, taking the crowds by storm.

Indeed both father and son were wearing short-sleeved patterned shirts, but while Woody bared his chest while dancing behind the decks, Norman’s shirt was firmly buttoned up for the occasion.

Meanwhile, Radio 2 broadcaster Zoe opted for laid back British beach style in a loose blue linen shirt and jeans.

The couple married in 1999 in a lavish ceremony at Babington House in Somerset and were together for 18 years before announcing that they’d “come to the end of our rainbow.”

However there were some bumps along the way when they split up after Zoe had an affair with DJ Dan Peppe.

Three months later, they’d reconciled their differences and their daughter Nelly was born in 2010.

In an interview Norman admitted he endured a traumatic year after their split, but he poured all the pain into his music. He said: “My music and shows have always been about escapism, for people to forget what’s wrong in their life.

“I’ve done it for 30 years but, because my life was happy, I was providing that escapism for the crowds. And now they’re providing that escapism for me. Having hit a traumatic year, for those two hours when I’m on stage, I forget all my worries and I feel like I can escape.”

But the couple have remained firm friends for the sake of their two children nad continue to support one another. The year hasn’t been easy for Zoe after losing her mother Julia Peckham to cancer back in April.

The radio host posted the news of her passing on social media describing herself as bereft.

“Thank you for teaching us how to love unconditionally, to always show courage and empathy, and how, even in the darkest of days, laughter is the greatest of gifts.

Woody Cook who also appeared on the reality series The Circle back in 2019, also paid tribute to his grandmother, calling his “Granny J” a “Wonderful woman.”

Zoe Ball and Norman Cook's love split

They were the cool power couple of the 90s, but after 18 years together life got into the way, but where did it all go wrong?

The pair met in Ibiza in 1997 where Zoe flew out to produce a show for BBC Radio 1. Sharing the same interests they soon fell in love and married in a lavish ceremony in Babington House in Somerset in 1999.

Their son Woody was born a year later in 2000.

But by 2003 the cracks had started to appear as Zoe had an affair with Cook’s friend DJ Dan Peppe and the pair went on a break for three months.

In 2010 their daughter Nellie was born but six years later, they announced they were separating, after ‘coming to the end of their rainbow’

The divorce was finalized in 2020.
