Kambwala, 19, broke into the Red Devils first team last season and made 10 appearances.

The Daily Mail have reported that Manchester United will have a buy-back clause in his deal with Villarreal.

The clause will remain active for the next three years until 2027.

It is also claimed that the club has a sizeable sell-on clause should Kambwala leave Villarreal.

He has signed a deal running until 2029 with the eastern Spain team

The outlet has revealed that the LaLiga side have paid just £4.7m for the defender.

This means that the remainder of the fee will be made up from add-ons.

Man United confirmed the transfer with a thankful message to the youngster.
