Charlize Theron Turned Heads in a Daring Gothic Look at the Africa Outreach Project Block Party
Charlize Theron has a habit of turning heads with her chic monochromatic ensembles, and her latest look on the red carpet of her Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) Block Party is no exception. Embracing the peekaboo bra trend, Theron walked the red carpet in an all-black, gothic-inspired look that was both edgy and elegant all at once.
Dressed by Dior, Theron wore a black open-front blazer layered over a matching bralette. She paired the blazer-bralette combo with a beaded midi skirt that added texture and depth. Completing her look were Dior’s J’Adior slingbacks for a touch of additional height. Working closely with her renowned stylist Leslie Fremar — whose star-studded client list includes Jennifer Connelly, Simone Biles, and Nicola Peltz-Beckham, to name a few —Theron ensured every detail of her outfit was on point.
This latest appearance bears resemblance to her look at the Fast X premiere back in May, where she stunned in a gothic naked dress from Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2023 Couture line. Both outfits feature intricate chainmail-like fabrics and exude a similar daring yet elegant vibe.
As the face of Dior’s fragrance J’adore, and more recently their jewelry and skin care ambassador since May 2024, she has consistently showcased the brand’s creations in her public appearances. One of her most memorable (and expensive) red carpet moments came during the 2014 Oscars, where she wore a black Christian Dior gown valued at $132,521, paired with a breathtaking Harry Winston necklace worth an astonishing $15 million.
The event, aimed at supporting young people in Southern Africa, where Theron was born and raised, was also graced by notable celebrity attendees including country singers Lainey Wilson and Tanner Adell, as well as television personality Jeannie Mai. Theron’s CTAOP works with organizations that “engage young people and their communities in multifaceted ways to address the social and structural drivers of health and gender inequality” per the foundation’s website.
