One killed, one in custody in early Sunday shooting
OKLAHOMA CITY, Ok (KFOR) — A shooting in Oklahoma city early Sunday morning leaves one dead. Police said it was due to a fight in the middle of the street.
It happened just before 3:30 in the morning near Western and Northwest 96th street.
Multiple police cars filled the street after they got the call.
Police said one person died and one person is in custody.
"When they arrived they found a subject lying in the roadway that had been shot multiple times. That subject was pronounced dead at the scene," said Lt. Jeff Cooper with the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Witnesses told police there was a fight in the middle of the street that involved multiple people.
"At some point one of the subject went and got a rifle and shot another subject that was involved in this fight multiple times and that subject died," said Lt. Cooper.
Police are still working to figure out more details and if the suspect knew the victim.
"Not sure if they're related at all or what started the fight," said Lt. Cooper.
Oklahoma City Police are still investigating the shooting and are working to learn more on the alleged suspect.
