Don Jr. doesn't want to 'hear another word about Jan. 6' after dad's shooting
Donald Trump Jr. suggested Sunday that Democrats were responsible for an attempted assassination of his father.
A day after a gunman shot at the former president, his son spoke to Newsmax about the incident.
Trump claimed that his dad's opponents believed "everyone on the right is Hitler, everyone in the right is evil and commits violence."
"But it seems to all be coming from them," he asserted. "Whether it's the riots or this, I don't want to ever hear another word about January 6th after July 13th, not one more."
"It needs to stop," Trump said. "We got to get our country back on track. We got to create some unity. We have to start putting America first.

"And my father is the only person actually capable of doing that because he's already done it."
The FBI has identified Thomas Matthew Crooks as the gunman, but the agency did not announce a motive for the shooting. Reports have said Crooks was a registered Republican.
