Bad Beat! The Dodgers were MLB's most-bet team to win before stunning walk-off loss to Tigers
The Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t exactly been rolling of late. Before Friday’s win over the Detroit Tigers, they had dropped four-straight games, including a sweep at the hands of the Philadelphia Phillies.
That didn’t discourage bettors from taking LA’s -125 moneyline for Saturday’s matinee in Detroit, though.
The Dodgers were MLB’s most-bet team to win Saturday at BetMGM. And that only meant more people who had to suffer through a brutal beat. LA lost on a walk-off home run in extra innings after holding a 9-4 lead entering the ninth.
The Dodgers blew what was a 99.2% win probability.

Before the 10th-inning homer to end it by Gio Urshela, the Tigers scored five runs in the ninth, including three with two outs. Though Evan Phillips was given the blown save for the Dodgers, he got them through the ninth after Ricky Vanasco gave up three runs without retiring a single batter.
It was all Tigers from there.
