Two more arrests for café explosion

Two more suspects have been arrested in an investigation into a café explosion in Strovolos, Nicosia last month, police said on Saturday.

The two men, 26 and 23, were arrested on Friday and have been remanded for eight days by the Nicosia District Court.

According to police, the explosion occurred at 4.40am on June 22, causing extensive damage to the side entrance of the café.

People were in the café at the time the explosive went off.

Another man, 35, is already in custody for the explosion. A further two people who were arrested in connection with the blast have since been released.
