Jon Kay, Sally Nugent, Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty are the current stars of BBC Breakfast.

Former BBC News presenter Ben Geoghegan was also a regular fixture of the show.

He could be seen anchoring Breakfast all the way back in 2008.

But these days the former news anchor has a very different job working for a nuclear power company,

According to his professional Linkedin profile, Ben is the director of communications for Sizewell C.

The company is building two power stations in the UK, with its Somerset plant the first power station to be built in a generation.

Ben officially left the BBC almost a decade ago, after anchoring shows such as Newsnight and the flagship News at 10.

Speaking about his time at the corporation on his Linkedin page, Ben says: “Correspondent for BBC’s flagship programmes including Ten & Six o’clock News, Radio 4’s Today and the BBC News Channel.”

Meanwhile, Dan Walker – who hosted BBC Breakfast for six years – previously revealed the show left him ‘crying in the toilets’.

He told ITV’s This Morning: “By Wednesday I was, like, full zombie mode. And also you get really emotional.

“By Wednesday I was like, end of the show, you are like, in the toilets just crying.

“Anything sets you off. Someone says something nice about your trousers and you are like, (fake cries).”
