Rohit Sharma led India to their second T20 World Cup title last month, beating South Africa in the final in Barbados.

New Delhi: Fresh from winning the T20 World Cup a fortnight back, Rohit Sharma soaked himself with the vibe on his maiden visit at the Wimbledon on Friday. Making a style statement in a sleek black suit and stylish sunglasses, the Indian captain visited the blockbuster semifinal between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev.

The Big W also welcomed the T20 World Cup-winning captain on social media that read, “Welcome to Wimbledon, Rohit Sharma!” “I am just excited to experience this atmosphere because I have never been here and this is the first time,” Rohit said in a video posted by Wimbledon’s social media handles.

Rohit isn’t the first cricketer in the last couple of days to visit the Big W. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ben Stokes, Pat Cummins, Jos Buttler, and Joe Root have made their presence felt in the past few days. Earlier, on June 29, Rohit scripted history by leading India to their first T20 World Cup title in 17 years by defeating South Africa in the final in Barbados.

The Men in Blue also ended their 11-year ICC trophy drought. With Rohit already retired from the shortest format, soon after India’s T20 World Cup win, the right-handed opener is expected to be seen during the ODI leg of India’s tour of Sri Lanka.
