In a now-viral TikTok video, Ester Motza (@estermotza) shared how she “jumps in fear when a wasp flies by” but has discovered the ultimate “gamechanger.”
If you also want to tan without being invaded by insects, she has a trick for that – eucalyptus soap.
She demonstrated how she scrubs down her lounge chair with the buy.
Once the surface was covered in soap, she rinsed everything down with a garden hose.
It was now bye-bye, bugs, as she explained that wasps and spiders are not a fan of the smell.

With a keen sense of smell, which is how they find food, wasps will indeed stay away from scents they don’t like, according to Eco Guard Pest Management.
The experts explained that the insects will avoid herbs and wasp-repellent plants, including eucalyptus, lemongrass, peppermint, cloves, and bay leaves.
Wasps are also sensitive to marigolds, geraniums, and pennyroyals.
For extra protection, they suggested planting these varieties close to doors and windows.
You can also make your own essential oil blends.
Simply mix lemongrass, and geranium essential oils, dilute them with water, and shake.
