Kate Hudson Goes Edgy in Leather Pumps and Pants on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’

Kate Hudson made a statement in pointed-toe pumps while arriving at “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Thursday in New York City.

Pairing her pumps with an edgy ensemble that consisted of lace-up leather pants and a slightly oversized long sleeve shirt with a pronounced v-neck cut, Hudson’s shoes consisted of a sleek patent leather material. Standing out courtesy of its bright white colorway, the pumps were crafted with an angular upper, giving it a pronounced pointed design.

The back of the actress’ shoes couldn’t be fully seen due to the extended length of her pants, but Hudson has been known to wear shoes with a pronounced height, making her heel height likely between the 3-to-4 inches range.

Pointed-toe pumps are a classic style that blends together elements of vintage and modern-day fashion. Regarded as a preferred shoe for red carpets and formal occasions, the popularity of the slim stiletto heel started re-emerging again at the start of the 2020s.

Various designers including Jimmy Choo and Amina Muaddi and more offer pointed-toe models regularly as a part of their catalog, with the trend expected to be spotted more for the remainder of 2024. Many celebrities such as Rebel Wilson, Taraji P. Henson, Anya Taylor-Joy have been seen sporting the style throughout the year thus far.

Hudson herself participated in the pointed-toe trend while attending the Max Mara resort 2025 show in Venice, Italy this past June. For the event, the “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” actress chose a sleek pair of Mary Jane pumps that were comprised of black patent leather, featured a single thin buckled strap across the foot that in-turn provided a pronounced signature pump design, a closed-back feature that secured her foot in place and a thin heel that was also estimated to be between 3-to-4 inches in height.
