Analysis reveals Ohio's most affordable colleges and universities
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A recent analysis has revealed the best colleges in Ohio based on tuition affordability.
Money, a personal finance website that started as a magazine, analyzed 745 colleges across the country for its “2024 Best Colleges” list, ranking them based on graduation rates, cost of attendance, financial aid, alumni salaries, and more.
The published list revealed the most affordable colleges in Ohio, taking into account the average amount of money students receive in grants.
The most affordable college in the state, according to the analysis, is Kent State University, which had the lowest price of the 24 colleges and universities included in the study, at an estimated $20,100.
“We at Kent State want to see every student graduate,” Vice President for Enrollment Management Sean Broghammer said in a press release. “We offer academic, financial and personal support at every point along a student’s journey to graduation. It’s important to keep the Kent State experience affordable for students.”

The most expensive Ohio colleges on the list are Oberlin College ($49,100), Kenyon College ($45,500), Case Western Reserve University ($40,500), Denison University ($40,500), and the Cleveland Institute of Art ($35,300).
