Central Ohio company that specializes in co-working spaces expanding to New Albany

NEW ALBANY, Ohio (WCMH) -- A central Ohio company that specializes in co-working and event spaces for businesses will expand to New Albany by the end of the year.

Brick House Blue, with locations in Dublin and Plain City, is in the process of moving into Innovate New Albany on Walton Parkway. Innovate New Albany is a service that helps startups and small businesses, and it has already has a presence in the building.

Brick House Blue will occupy 22,000 square feet, with amenities including:

  • Furnished co-working spaces and offices
  • Huddle rooms
  • Podcasting suite
  • 24-hour access

It will manage meeting and event spaces to accommodate groups from as few as eight to more than 100.

“Our goal at Brick House Blue is to offer a collaborative work community for people of all backgrounds, from entrepreneurs and remote workers to corporate executives and New Albany’s commitment to partnerships and community make it the right fit for us," Brick House Blue CEO Cid Rhomberg said.

A Barry Bagels will open alongside the project in the building lobby, with a December date anticipated for both.

"We are excited to offer a one-of-a-kind model to help businesses accelerate growth while navigating barriers,” New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding said. “It’s another example of the innovation ecosystem that leverages partnerships and builds productive alliances to allow our city to attract and retain a remarkable range and caliber of companies.”

The City of New Albany and surrounding communities have seen a tech boom Intel broke ground on its Ohio One plant in 2022, a project that is now confirmed to be on a delayed timeline. Other projects coming to the area include the recently announced Vantage Data Centers, a $185 million project; Microsoft, which now owns over 700 acres in Licking County; and Google, which will bring two data centers to central Ohio.
