Cohoes pizzeria closing after 14 years

COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Pop's Pizza, located at 148 Columbia Street in Cohoes, is closing its doors after 14 years. Pop's Pizza made the announcement on its Facebook page on July 11.

"We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and patronage," said the post. "You have made our dream a reality, and for that, we are forever grateful."

Pop's Pizza underwent a change of ownership at the end of 2020, with Alyssa Apisa taking over. Apisa worked at Pop's for seven years before becoming the owner.

The pizzeria's last day is set for Saturday, July 20. A reason for the closure was not given.

"We invite you to join us in these final days as we celebrate the end of this incredible journey," read the post. "Let’s make these last moments together unforgettable."
