APPLE chief Tim Cook has revealed his trick to try the Vision Pro headset for free – and beat the queues.

Speaking exclusively with The Sun for the headset’s UK launch today, Tim promised Brits an “incredible experience”.

The “spatial computer” sits on your head like a pair of goggles – and works like an iPhone, but strapped to your face.

It surrounds you with floating apps that you can interact with by looking at them and pinching in the air (read our Apple Vision Pro review).

It’s a pricey bit of gear at £3,499, but Apple‘s boss is urging gadget fans to try the hi-tech specs for free.

“It’s an emotional experience to take a demo,” Tim told The Sun.

“And so I encourage everybody to go to their local Apple retail store and get a demo.”

From 8am on Friday July 12, you’ll be able to head down to the Apple Store to try the headset on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can also sign up for appointments to skip the queues.

Each demo will last 30 minutes, and gives you a chance to see what Tim is talking about.

“It’s hard to explain in words, the experience,” Tim explained, speaking to us at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

“It’s hard to show it in a 2D fashion, what a 3D experience will be.

“And so we’re offering everyone a demo that signs up.

“It’s a very cool experience so that you can reserve and not stand in a queue.

“If you don’t want to do that, you can stand in the queue and await your turn.”

You’ll have a dedicated Apple retail employee who can help you get to grips with the headset.

And they’ll take you on a guided tour through some of the headset’s best features.

“It’s an incredible experience,” Tim told us.

“And we’ll have someone with you that finds the right lens for you and the right Light Seal fit.

“And it will be an incredible experience for you to do. I encourage everyone to go to their local Apple Store and get the demo.”

The Apple Vision Pro goggles are packed with powerful features.

You can enjoy your own private cinema for movies, get right down onto the court or pitch in a sports game, or play games on a giant virtual screen.

And there’s even a feature that lets you step inside your own memories – with “spatial” photos and videos.

These 3D captures feel like you’re travelling back in time to specific moments, and Tim says it’s very moving.

“It’s interesting to watch people, the reaction that they have. You know many of them tear up,” Tim said, speaking to The Sun.

“Because when you begin to experience your photographs in the Vision Pro, it’s almost like you’re there again.

“And so you can imagine your family photographs as big as life.
