Manhattan closes in on new city manager pick

MANHATTAN (KSNT) - Little Apple locals will be able to meet with the four finalists for the Manhattan city manager position later this month.

The City of Manhattan announced in a press release that all four finalists will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, July 22 at the Flint Hills Discovery Center located at 315 South Third Street. People can ask questions and share feedback with the finalists during this event.

Finalists were selected from a pool of 50 candidates from 23 different states. The four finalists will participate in interviews for the position from July 22-23 which includes a community tour, engagement sessions with the Manhattan City mayor, city commissioners and other city leaders and a community reception

Deputy City Manager Jason Hilgers is currently serving as interim city manager and has held the position since April this year after the retirement of former City Manager Ron Fehr. Finalists for the city manager position include:

• Jamie Miller
• Jason A. Gage
• Danielle Dulin
