Isolated storms today, hot weekend ahead
What We’re Tracking
- Isolated storms today
- Dry and sunny Friday
- Getting hot late week & weekend
A round of isolated showers and storms continues to push through the area this morning. A lot of folks missed out on the rain, but if you did see a storm, you could've got up to an half-inch of rain. We can't rule out an isolated storm later this evening.
For today, temperatures will climb into the lower to middle 90's with a light wind from the east. Staying dry with a lot of sunshine as dew points hang out in the middle 60's. We continue this slow warming trend with air temperatures in the triple digits by Sunday.
Our next several days look to be mostly dry as mostly sunny weather dominates the Central Plains. We gradually warm back up through out the week, eventually getting hot again by the weekend. Heat indices near 110 degrees by the start of next week. Find ways to stay cool!
