Power Minister Manohar Lal urges Chhattisgarh not to levy cess on hydro, pump storage projects

Power Minister Manohar Lal urged the Chhattisgarh government to refrain from imposing any cess on hydro power projects and pump storage projects to prevent additional burden on consumer tariffs. In a review meeting in Raipur, he emphasized reducing aggregate technical and commercial losses below 10% to ease financial strain on discoms. Lal also advised resolving issues promptly related to NTPC projects and addressing challenges in land acquisition and mining leases for captive coal block development.
