Yankees legend to perform at Dutchess County winery

MILLBROOK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Four-time World Series champion and New York Yankees legend Bernie Williams will perform at the Millbrook Vineyards and Winery (Millbrook Winery) on Saturday, August 3. The former centerfielder will play jazz music with his band of friends, opened by jazz pianist Larry Ham.

The concert will start at 6 p.m. and tickets are available online.

Williams first visited Millbrook Winery in 2021 and has had an affinity for the location since. After speaking with the winery's Vice President and General Manager about his baseball career, love of jazz music, and winemaking, he's worked closely each year since to taste-test wine barrels.

After retiring from baseball in 2006, spending his entire 16-year career with the Yankees, Williams earned a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz performance from the Manhattan School of Music. He retired with a .297 batting average, 2,336 career hits, five all-star nominations, and won the 1998 batting title in the American League.
