'What makes him qualified?' George Clooney trashed after demanding Biden quits
Actor George Clooney penned an op-ed for the New York Times Wednesday — and was hit by immediate backlash from those bashing his qualifications to question President Joe Biden's mental stability.
In his column, Clooney admits he "loves Joe Biden," but calls for another candidate for become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee.
"On the one hand, every American citizen has a voice that is equal in public discourse. On the other hand, what makes George Clooney qualified to occupy such a high profile space on this question? I just-- don't know," pointed out law professor Anthony Michael Kreis.

Lawfare's Anna Bower replied, "I think it’s less about him being qualified and more about him being a big Dem fundraiser/donor. That he’s expressing this opinion publicly is significant/newsworthy for that reason. (Whether it’s significant enough to warrant a NYT guest essay…idk.)"
Kansas City Star columnist Joel Mathis quipped: "It would be so perfectly, stupidly 'America in 2024' if George Clooney, of all people, was the one to drive Joe Biden from the presidential race."
Majority Report host Emma Vigeland pointed out that Clooney's thoughts might not be altogether altruistic.
"Clooney also called him in June and asked him to quit besmirching the ICC, where his wife works, to protect Israeli war criminals," she said on the social media site X.
"Because we should let an actor #GeorgeClooney decide that President Biden is unfit to serve any longer. This is ridiculous. Democrats you are killing your nominee and Trump is laughing at you openly as he rants about sharks, Hannibal Lecter, pretty women, fat Chris Christie, etc," said opinion columnist Sophia Nelson.

Photographer Craig Morrison pointed out, "I did not vote for Joe Biden because of George Clooney. I voted for Joe Biden because he is great for our country and will beat American Traitor and Felon Donald Trump."
