Woman steals necklace from Campbell pedestrian

July 1

BATTERY: 10:43 a.m. in the 500 block of West Hacienda Avenue. A man hit the victim in the face approximately four times with a closed fist, ripped her shirt and bit her on the knee. The victim did not have any visible marks or a complaint of pain. The man was booked.

DUI: 7:43 p.m. in the 500 block of Railway Avenue. A driver was involved in a collision in a parking lot,  left the vehicle and later returned. The driver was found to be DUI.

CORPORAL INJURY: 11:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Budd Avenue. The suspect and victim got into a physical altercation, leaving both with visible injury. The suspect was placed under arrest.

BURGLARY: 10:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Winchester Boulevard. Someone used a river rock to break a business’s window, then reached through the window  and stole property from the business.

July 2

BURGLARY: 8:52 a.m. in the 100 block of Sunnyside Avenue. The catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle.

BURGLARY: 1:42 p.m. in the 400 block of East Hamilton Avenue. The victim received notifications of charges on his credit card. He went to his vehicle where he had left his wallet and realized that his vehicle had been broken into and his wallet had been stolen along with two spare keys.

VEHICLE THEFT: Overnight in the 500 block of West Hacienda Avenue. A gold 1998 Toyota Camry 4D was stolen. The driver was stopped and ultimately arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle and stolen property.

KIDNAPPING: 11:45 p.m. at South Bascom and East Hamilton avenues: A man grabbed a woman, picked her up and began carrying her back to his vehicle against her will. He was arrested and booked.

July 3

VEHICLE THEFT: 6:30 a.m. in the 00 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A white Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen.

July 4

VEHICLE THEFT: 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Lovell Avenue. A 2003 Ford F250 was stolen.

DUI: 1:47 a.m. in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue. A woman was stopped for a vehicle code violation. She displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication and admitted to consuming alcohol. She was found to be DUI and placed under arrest.

UNDER INFLUENCE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 500 block of West Hamilton Avenue. A man was reportedly throwing chairs at customers and making threats. He displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance and was placed under arrest.

July 5

POSSESSION OF STOLEN VEHICLE: 2:56 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Campbell Avenue. A man who was on probation was contacted next to a motorcycle with no plates. He  claimed his cousin gave him the motorcycle one hour prior and that he had pushed it to its current location. A records check on the VIN revealed the motorcycle had been stolen out of San Jose.

RETAIL THEFT: 6:26 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Three women stole about $2,100 worth of products. All three suspects carried large purses with them and put items from the store into their bags. All three suspects were in the store for about 15 minutes before leaving in a Mercedes that was captured on security cameras.

GRAND THEFT: 10 a.m. in the 2000 block of Winchester Boulevard. A woman got out of a vehicle and contacted the victim while she was walking. She talked to the victim and tried putting on a necklace on her while removing her gold chain that had two wedding bands on it. The jewelry is valued at about $3,000.

July 6

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PARAPHERNALIA: 3:03 p.m. at Whitethorne Drive and South Bascom Avenue. A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation. The suspect was a parolee at large and possessed drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and claimed ownership of everything inside the vehicle. He was in possession of two different calibers of ammunition, drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, and someone else’s Social Security card and driver’s license.

July 7

APPROPRIATING LOST PROPERTY: in in the 900 block of Connie Drive. Over the last week, a woman’s cat escaped her home. She saw her cat at another residence, and an Airtag she had on the cat was showing in the area of that residence. The victim wants the suspect arrested for not giving her cat back.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 7:37 p.m. in the 2000 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man was reportedly having a seizure in front of a store. He had a felony warrant and was heavily intoxicated and placed under arrest. He was transported to the hospital due to his level of intoxication.
