TOPEKA (KSNT) - Greater Topeka Partnership's (GTP) Momentum 2027 project is nearing it's halfway mark.

Since starting the project in 2022, GTP's five-year plan hopes to better Topeka by focusing on four main categories:

  • A place to live
  • A place to prosper
  • A place to learn
  • A place to belong

There are 22 different task plans fall under these four categories, ranging from affordable housing throughout the community, to the support of small business development throughout the capital city.

Tara Dimick, tri chair for Momentum 2027, tells 27 News GTP is still aiming on finishing all 22 task plans within the five year mark.

"Most are on track. Of course, not everything is on track," said Dimick. "We have a few that we are really watching and trying to kind of refigure out what may and needs to happen, but majority are going great."

GTP plans to meet every six months to a year to keep community members updated on Momentum 2027's progress.
